who the hell puts wheat in soy sauce?!?

I know my cabinets should be completely cleared of non-GF foods by now, but I had a bottle of soy sauce that managed to slip by, and as I was making my stir-fry for dinner after a ridiculously late-running meeting, and wait, there is wheat-gluten in my soy sauce. That makes me very unhappy.

Sadly, nearly all "normal" soy sauce contains wheat / gluten. I buy the San-J Wheat-Free Tamari (i.e., soy-sauce without wheat - that theirs is certified gluten-free). It has a really good flavor, and I agree with you... why does "soy sauce" NEED wheat anyhow?

Found you via Jenni's site.
Any chance you'd add a link to my Gluten-Free News and Blog Aggregator? I'd appreciate it. That's actually how I found Jenni's site (she added her feed to the aggregator). Thanks.

La Choy is a cheaper AND entirely GF soy/teriyaki sauce. It tastes just as good as Kikkomans and San-J (I currently use San-J, but when I use that up i'll be buying La Choy).
